Where do we meet? Enter Centennial Park from Centennial Lane. Proceed to the back of the lot past the tennis and basketball courts on the right. We will be meeting at the front of the pavilion in the far right corner in the back of the lot. Please try to arrive before 6pm for brief instructions and warm-up.
What is the cost to participate? This no-cost program is supported by We Promote Health, Inc., a local Howard County non-profit organization, dedicated to promoting wellness for individuals, families business organizations and schools. Participants in this program are encouraged to register for the Matzohball 5K which will take place at Centennial Park on Sunday, June 3rd, 2018.
How do I register for this program? Please make every effort to register on-line. Individuals can register on-site if they arrive before 6pm. Although there is no cost to participate, you are required to sign a waiver form. Those that are registered will receive weekly updates and instructions. There is a separate link on our portal which will direct you to the registration page for the Matzohball 5K.
Is there a minimum expectation for beginners? All levels are encouraged to participate. Each individual will determine his/her own training goals. If you are walker who just wants to build in more intermittent jogging, this program is for you. If you have already begun to move from walker to jogger, this program can help you increase your distance. If you are already a runner and just want more opportunities to run, we look forward to your participation. For many, this opportunity may simply be about enjoying the more social aspects of the training. All are welcome and encouraged to participate!
